Brenda Fishbaugh
President, Eye Pro Inc.

In her 14 years with Eye Pro, Brenda’s traveled to six continents promoting eye protection for indoor tanners. Her life story would make a good book someday – by the age of 18 she was both a private plane and commercial glider pilot; she aspired to become a jockey and also showed horses competitively for many years. Brenda attended Indiana University at Fort Wayne (IN), with a double major in Marketing and Management, and a minor in Anthropology. Her career experience includes many years of success in sales. Among her hobbies is scrapbooking, and her passion is saving endangered animals – Eye Pro supports a number of animal sanctuaries on three continents. “Frequent flyer Brenda” resides in Indiana with her husband Steve, who is a commercial pilot, and some very lonely cats.



Cheri Mullenix
Wolff System Technology Corp.

A member of the Sales & Marketing team at Wolff System Technology Corp for six years, Cheri’s duties also include traveling the country training salon professionals on the company’s many sunlamp products. Her career background includes work in the hotel and worker’s compensation fields. She grew up in Baton Rouge, LA, where her love of Cajun and Zydeco music was fostered. In her spare time, she teaches Zydeco dancing and attends dance festivals around the country.


Joe Schuster
VP of Tanning Products, Sales & Marketing, Light Sources, Inc.,

A 17-year veteran of the indoor tanning industry, Joe serves as the media liaison and teacher/trainer for the Suntanning Association for Education. A frequent speaker at national industry events, he also interacts on behalf of indoor tanning with the FDA and various state regulatory committees. In addition to writing for IST, he is a contributing writer for Canada’s Tanning Beauty & Well Being and the French-based Bronzage Beaute’ Bien-etre. A graduate of James Madison University, Joe is currently a Volunteer Instructor for the Georgia Hunter Safety Association, educating youngsters about wildlife, conservation, and hunting. He lives in Cumming, GA with his wife of 16 years, Beth, and their three sons Jackson, Jared and Jamie.



Andy Thompson
Director of Training and Support, Helios LLC

Andy Thompson joined the staff of Helios in October 2004 with a 20-year background in software training and support. For the past seven years, he has specialized within the indoor tanning industry, traveling with his wife, Carolynne to Canada and 41 of the 48 continental United States to provide training and onsite support to nearly 1,000 salons. He has set up over 30 organizations on WAN (Wide Area Network) software and assisted many more tanning pros in setting up and configuring salon software prior to opening their businesses.


Kristi Valenzuela
Founder, Team Path Educational Systems/Owner, Crystal Focus, Inc.

A member of the National Speakers Association, Kristi Valenzuela has gained acclaim as a top business strategy and motivational speaker. She has been featured on beauty industry websites including BehindtheChair.com and YourBeautyNetwork.com, and is a co-author of “Real World Team Building Strategies that Work!” and “Conversations On Success,” accompanied by well-known authors Deepak Chopra and Mark Victor Hansen. Kristi’s programs highlight her expertise in sales, customer service, teambuilding and leadership. Her success coaching company, Crystal Focus, Inc. is based in Michigan, where she resides.



Bob Wagner
CEO, AEGIS Inc./Exec. Director, PTAF

A 21-year tanning industry veteran, Bob has been IST’s International Correspondent for seven years. His company, AEGIS is a primary provider of FDA listing services for medical device manufacturers, including spectral analyses for tanning equipment producers. A former U.S. Marine Force Recon Interrogator/Translator, Bob is an airplane, commercial seaplane and Hovercraft pilot. He writes for several publications on a variety of topics, and has other hobbies including scuba diving and golf. Bob resides in St. Petersburg, FL with wife Ivana, 10-year-old son Ian and a Yorkshire Terrier named Max.
