JK CAPITAL GETS MAJOR INVESTMENT
FROM GERMAN BANK

Bayerische Hypo-und Vereinsbank AG Provides $20 Million for Leasing

JONESBORO, AR – John Deacon, Executive Director of JK Capital, has announced a $20 million investment from German bank Bayerische Hypo-und Vereinsbank AG that will go toward future product leases of new Ergoline, Soltron and Wellsystem equipment within the U.S. After months of structuring to accommodate the unique leasing model of JK Capital, representatives of the German bank met Deacon at the ITA trade show in Nashville, TN followed by a tour of the JK Products & Services, Inc. facility in Jonesboro, AR. Final approval of the expenditure followed quickly thereafter.

This infusion of additional resources is expected to increase leasing revenues into JK Capital by 300 percent over five years. Benefiting salon owners, it provides the opportunity for them to upgrade equipment or start new salon ventures. This, in turn, increases equipment sales to the affiliated JK North America companies and helps expand the overall market.

“The commitment of $20 million by Bayerische Hypo-und Vereinsbank AG validates both the leasing model that JK Capital has implemented since 2002 and the worldwide leadership position of the JK affiliated companies,” said John Deacon, Executive Director of JK Capital. “The industry position of the Ergoline and Soltron brands ‘sealed the deal’ when the bank studied market share, brand quality, customer retention and residual values. By combining these product and brand strengths with the portfolio performance of JK Capital, it was a winning combination. The result of this venture will enable JK Capital to provide additional financing options for equipment acquisitions for salon owners throughout the country.”

For more information on JK Capital call 800.643.0086 or visit www.jkleasing-us.com. JK Capital is a division of JK Products & Services, Inc. and a proud member of the JK family of companies.

NEW EDUCATIONAL PRODUCTS
AVAILABLE FREE FROM EYE PRO

FORT WAYNE, IN – EYE PRO, world leader in clean, easy, and disposable WINK-EASE and VIEWkeepers! eye protection is excited to announce two new educational gifts to help salons promote “No More Raccoon Eyes” and the value of clean eyewear.

“There’s no product on the market better at preventing raccoon eyes than our original WINK-EASE, because they can be folded into a cone to perfectly fit each tanner’s eyes – no more “one-size-fits-all” eyewear,” explains Brenda Fishbaugh, EYE PRO President. “We’ve created a NEW window cling to help salons promote that fact to tanners the minute they walk through the door,” she added.

The magnetic window cling promotes “No More Raccoon Eyes” – creating customer interest at the salon entrance. The window cling features a full color photo and will not leave residue on glass.

Also available is a new educational mat to help salons demonstrate the value of clean eyewear to tanners. “You wouldn’t share a toothbrush, even if it was clean, would you?” points out Brenda Fishbaugh, EYE PRO President. “Goggles can also share many contaminants and should be treated in a similar manner as a toothbrush,” she continues.

The “Toothbrush Mat” suggests tanners clean their goggles after every use and keep them in a dry, protected place, such as a re-sealable bag. “If you have trouble explaining to your tanners why they should own their own eyewear instead of sharing community goggles, then our new educational piece is perfect for you,” Fishbaugh concludes.

Salon operators may request the FREE window cling and educational mat by emailing their mailing address to eyepro@eyepro.net. They will receive both promotional pieces, as well as samples of all EYE PRO products.
For more information on all EYE PRO salon products, call 800.726.8322 or visit www.eyepro.net.

TANTYME.COM CELEBRATES ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY

ANGOLA, IN – One year ago, TanTyme.com was born from one salon owner’s dream to create a “friendly” Internet tanning discussion board.

On January 31, 2005, Sheri Roy started TanTyme.com. A tanning salon owner and frequent participant on other Internet tanning discussion boards, she decided to start her own to offer a site that would be fun, entertaining and above all, educational for other salon pros.

“It’s been a great year!” Sheri exclaimed. “I’ve had the opportunity to meet a lot of great people in the industry on TanTyme, and I’ve been able to help some fellow salon pros, as well as receive help from others. Our membership continues to grow at a steady rate, and we’re very happy with the camaraderie.”

Sheri thanks the site’s many sponsors – John Abaté International, Celebrity Tan, Darkside, GSK Resources, Helios, Nichesoft, puretan and Red Lime – as well as the many volunteer moderators, for the continued success and growth of TanTyme.
Congrats, Sheri! – IST
