When tanning industry product manufacturers want to launch an exclusive
promotion, they call IST! We’ve teamed up with Pro Tan for a contest designed
to be fun, interactive and help you sell lotions. Showcasing its two popular
leg-tanning products – Legs Have It and ‘Hot’ Legs Have It – Pro Tan’s
contest requires tanners to submit photos of their beautifully bronzed
legs. The first 100 salons to enter a tanner will receive a free counter
display filled with over $200 in Legs Have It products, and participating
tanners get a free “Got Legs” T-shirt, valued at $24. The top three tanners
(and their hot legs, of course!) and salon photos will appear in a Pro
Tan advertisement in Island Sun Times.
Why is Pro Tan looking for hot legs? “It’s fun!” exclaimed Stacy Kaufman,
Pro Tan CEO. “When a tanner has nice, brown legs, they look great – and
what better way to highlight this than to have a photo contest for the
hottest pair of legs? We want to give a prize to the salon professionals
whose clients have the hottest legs out there.”
In addition to the excitement this photo contest is sure to generate,
it can also help salons sell more lotions. “The legs can sometimes be
a difficult part of the body to get tan, which is why we developed our
Legs Have It product line,” Kaufman explained. “This contest gives salon
pros a sales opportunity for those customers who really want their legs
to develop nice color, and naturally leads into a sales opportunity for
these specially formulated products.”
Salon operators wishing to enter their clients in the Hot Legs contest
are urged to do so quickly. “We’ve got some wonderful prizes for the salons
entering the first 100 contestants, but they won’t last long,” Stacy added.
By partnering with IST, Pro Tan is giving three people with super-hot
legs the chance to be famous! These lucky tanners will be featured in
a Legs Have It advertisement in an upcoming issue of IST. “It will be
exciting for the winners to showcase their tanning results on a national
level,” Stacy added.
Who has the hottest legs? We’ll find out! The contest runs through May,
with the winners announced in the July issue of IST. So, if you have some
