American Sun Systems Helps Salon Pro In Need

BEL AIR, MD – When a salon owner found herself in a crisis situation, American Sun Systems stepped up to save the day – proof that there really are some good and honorable people in this industry!

Angela Neff was in a predicament. She had spent $40,000 on nine tanning units to install for the grand opening of her salon, Tropic Breeze Tanning Salon in Bel Air, MD. The problem was the Texas-based equipment importer she ordered the units from had recently gone out of business…without notifying their customers. Not only would Angela not be getting the beds she needed for her big day, she was also out the $40,000 – not exactly chump change.

“Over the past six months, I kept calling and calling (the now defunct importer) to ask about the status of my order, but no one would call me back!” Angela exclaimed. “I got in touch with another salon owner who tried to do business with that same company, and he told me the same thing happened to him. He also informed me that the importer went out of business and that there were other salon owners like us who had lost a lot of money.”

With her grand opening just a month or so away – and still no sunbeds – Angela didn’t know what she was going to do. Fortunately, she remembered talking to North Carolina Ergoline distributor American Sun Systems when she was shopping for beds, and after one phone call, the company and salesperson Trace Alford came through for Angela in her darkest hour. With a 90 days same-as-cash deal, she bought four SunDash 232 GSF sunbeds, which were picked up by her father/business partner, Glen Schissler.

“American Sun Systems really stepped up to the plate to help me!” Angela exclaimed. “Trace was very understanding of my situation and so helpful. He cared about us after the sale too; sending someone out to our salon to check out the beds and to make sure everything was fine. He told me that he was available 24 hours a day for installation and tech support.”

The best part of this story is that Angela pulled off her salon’s grand opening on February 23-25 without a hitch. She’s also happy to report that the sunbeds she purchased from American Sun Systems are a big hit with her tanners. “From the way they look to the tanning results they provide, everybody’s complimenting us on those beds,” she said. “I’m grateful for everything they’ve done for me, and I would recommend them to anyone. They’re terrific.”
