Australian Gold’s Medical Concept Solutions is a line of four, high-end
skincare products. It represents a breakthrough in skincare formula design
because the lotion giant pulled out the “big guns” to make it – a plastic
surgeon, dermatologist, pharmacist and biochemist were contracted to help
with its formulation and design. “We were looking at the skin from a biological
frame of mind instead of a cosmetic one, so these products represent true
medical pathways,” explained Susan Phemster, AG/SB Brand Manager of Indoor
Tanning Lotions. “People who tan are conscious about their appearance,
and they want their skin to look and feel its best, which in turn improves
their tanning results. These products are designed to fill that niche.”
Currently, there are four products in Australian Gold’s Medical Concept
Solutions line: Renovatox anti-wrinkle system contains Argireline®,
which is proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Continuing
in the eye care mold is Advanced Plus Eye Therapy. The third product is
Hyaluronic Serum moisturizer, which the company describes as “the ultimate
moisturizer.” And last but not least is CelluTen Cream, which protects
against free radical damage. “All the products contain proven medical
technology, as well as medical-grade active ingredients that truly benefit
the skin,” Phemster explained. “Their real anti-aging qualities make them
appeal to a wide variety of clients, and we plan to add to the line in
the future.”
Australian Gold’s Medical Concept Solutions line is high-end priced, there’s
no question about that. The suggested retail price for each of the products
ranges from $70-$94, and given the price range, the company is willing
to help salon pros market and sell them successfully. “We offer a free,
five-minute video that explains each of the products’ benefits and applications,”
Phemster said. “It’s consumer oriented and designed to develop interest
in the products, which naturally opens the door for questions and sales
opportunities. Our educators offer product training, and we encourage
our salon clients to contact us if they have questions or need advice.
And, sample packs of the products attached to information cards also are
available to salons for $2-$3.50.”
Every salon pro is concerned about product theft, and AG’s Medical Concept
Solutions is no exception. The company offers a locked acrylic display
for its skincare line, which costs about $18. Salons wanting to really
showcase this exclusive skincare line are encouraged to purchase the company’s
high-end mirrored display, which sets the products off in various steps.
Salon pros interested in selling Australian Gold’s Medical Concept
Solutions line, or who would like the free in-store product video, are
encouraged to contact any authorized Australian Gold distributor. Complete
