Tan For Hunger

MILWAUKEE, WI – For four days in May, Lectric Beach Tanning Club invited their clients and the general public to donate wholesome, healthy, non-perishable food items to the Hunger Task Force of Southeastern Wisconsin. The four Metro Milwaukee area Lectric Beach salons competed to see which one could “outweigh” the others in pounds of food collected.

Guests who donated four non-perishable items received a free tanning session, or an upgrade session if they were already a LBTC member. In addition, those who donated the most “preferred” items were eligible to win a one-, two-, or three-month membership, or 10 free tanning sessions. Items like canned tuna, peanut butter and baby formula were most needed to feed the hungry.

The Tan for Hunger drive has been a community service performed by Lectric Beach Tanning Club many times over the past 20 years, and each year thousands of pounds of food is collected. The Hunger Relief Fund, a coalition of the state’s leading anti-hunger agencies, pools resources and expertise to work on the ground level providing nutritious food to those who need it most: children and the elderly, veterans and working families.

“ One hundred percent of the donations go to fight hunger statewide, locally and in our own backyard,” stated Lectric Beach Tanning Club owner Dion Borkowicz. “It’s just one way we give back to our community.”

Established in 1987 in South Milwaukee, Lectric Beach Tanning Club is the largest tanning salon “chain” in the Metro Milwaukee area, and offers 56 tanning units including three Magic Tan spray booths. The company employs 15-20 people.

New Color For Ergoline Open Sun 550
PLUS “Free” Tanning Until 2008

JONESBORO, AR – Hans-Juergen Kreitz, CEO of JK North America, recently announced the new Blue Silver color for the Ergoline Open Sun 550 as well as a special leasing program.

With no monthly payments due until 2008, JK Capital is offering “free” tanning, with approved credit, to salon owners through the end of the year. Financing this special lease via JK Capital lets salon owners keep more money in their pocket while they earn money during 2007. Restrictions apply; for complete details on this offer, contact your Ergoline representative or JK Capital, 800.593.2183.

In addition, the new, captivating Blue Silver Open Sun 550 sunbed joins the Magenta Silver model as a choice for salon owners wanting to match their décor. The sunbed’s unique open-air facial zone provides a comfortable experience for tanners who dislike a “closed in” feeling. This is made possible by unit’s A.R.T. technology (Advanced Reflective Tanning), which employs two 800-watt high-pressure facial units arranged along the sides of the base, that project the UV rays right onto the glass reflector surface on the upper part of the sunbed. The Ultra coating only reflects those UV components useful for tanning. Combined with 45 Turbo Power 160-watt lamps for the body area and a reflector in the shoulder area, the Ergoline Open Sun 550 will impress any tanning enthusiast.

For more information on the Open Sun 550 or any Ergoline product, call 888.771.0996 or visit sunergoline.com. Sun Ergoline is a Division of JK Products & Services, Inc. and a proud member of the JK family of companies.
