Denise Stabler Marries

Bad
news, fellas – another bachelorette is off the market! This time
it’s Denise Stabler, Marketing Manager at product distributor
Future Industries, Inc., who married longtime boyfriend John Gagne
on May 19,
2007.
You never know where you’ll find true love, and the last place Denise
Stabler thought she’d be struck by Cupid’s arrow was at her son’s
football game. Yet, that’s where she met her future husband, John
Gagne. “He coached a local flag football team that my son, Brendon,
played on and I attend all of his games,” said Denise. “When
it came time for the team to organize their sponsor booklet, which
is their main fundraising source, I volunteered my desktop publishing
skills
to
put it together. John and I worked on the booklet together, became
very good friends and eventually started dating.”
After
four years as a couple, John “popped the question,” and
the two became engaged on Thanksgiving weekend, 2006. They married on May
19 at Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven, CT. The small wedding ceremony
was attended by 50 of Denise and John’s closest friends, including
her two children, Brendon 10 and Rachael, 9.
Like many wedding days, even though everything was meticulously planned,
fate would still throw a monkey wrench into the works; fortunately,
the problem was a small one. “It had rained quite a bit the night before,
and we weren’t sure that we were going to be able to have an outdoor
ceremony,” Denise explained. “On our wedding day, the temperature
was about 50 degrees and a 30-mile-an-hour wind was blowing in off the
ocean. We have pictures of guests huddled in the gazebos wearing their
husbands’ jackets to stay warm!”
Although Mother Nature didn’t quite cooperate, Denise and John still had their beachfront wedding and were pronounced husband and wife. After the ceremony and reception, the couple sailed off for a seven-day Caribbean honeymoon cruise. “The trip was fantastic, especially because neither of us had been to the Caribbean before,” she said.
Denise continues to manage the marketing efforts at Future Industries, where she’s been for the past three years, only now, she’s known as Denise Stabler-Gagne. Longtime FI customers will be glad to know that she has not changed her phone extension or e-mail address! John is the Shipping and Receiving Manager for W&G Machine in Hamden, CT and continues to coach the Steelers, a neighborhood football team consisting of kids 8-13 years old. The newlyweds reside in Shelton, CT.
